Two Tough Questions
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?
Read the next question before looking at the response for this one.
Question 2:
It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three candidates. Who would you vote for?
Candidate A.
Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologist. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.
Candidate B.
He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.
Candidate C
He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.
Which of these candidates would be your choice?
Decide first... no peeking.
And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question:
Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.
Hugs, Happiness and Harmony!
Julie

Sometimes even our informed choices can be wrong upon retrospect. No wonder so many people can be paralyzed into not voting.
Good post.

I'm pro-life so I wouldn't recommend an abortion to anyone...but the second one gave me pause. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover. Hugs!

choice is up to the person the choice affects...
Sometimes having peccadilloes is not such a bad thing

to Bond: You're going to make me pull out a dictionary...I can't remember what a peccadillo is...is it a pack of armadillos? But, those would only be useful to have if they were say, attack armadillos. ;) (Sorry Julie, couldn't resist.)
Julie, your post certainly does make one think. And it drives home my feelings that purity, doesn't necessarily make one perfect. The first question posed is difficult indeed, as I firmly believe in a woman's choice to choose or not to choose.

Interesting...you know, when I first found out I was pregnant with Kiddo, I was very surprised and I had a nurse tell me, "You know, you don't have to have a child." I shudder to think if I had listened to them. I can't imagine life without her.
