Second Thursday

The homeless.....they all have a story. They all have cares and concerns. They all have feelings. I got to spend a couple hours with them tonight. We all had ham, green beans and potatoes in big crock pots....along with cornbread and applesauce. Tons of cookies were also supplied by the ladies of my church.It was a full house tonight. Maxed out. I hope no one wanders along and gets turned away. I hope that some find their way before more stumble into this facility. I hope.....I hope.....

I prayed for one of them tonight-it felt weird. I'm not used to stuff like this. He had tears in his eyes when I finished. I guess I did it right. I hope he finds his way---in many ways.

**sigh**

It's so hard not to get attached to these souls. My heart aches.

We had the kids color a picture on the back page of my newspaper. An Easter coloring contest. I want them to win. I want to deliver the prize baskets to them. But I don't know where they'll be next month. I never do.
