Mom's Garden Tour 2007
The first year mom participated in this tour she had me use paint markers on pieces of slate to identify all of her trees, shrubs and perennials....over 200 different types! This is the third year and she claims the last....I don't believe her. We'll find out won't we?
Check out this beauty that mom gets to enjoy everyday! Oh! Don't forget...you can click on each picture for more detail!
This is the path to mom's "Secret Garden" . If you look closely in the middle of the picture near the right side you can see a little sign. Below is the sign up close.

In my last posts on "The Farm" I don't think I mentioned anything about the springhouse. It was built in 1886! The house is far older than the springhouse.

Mom always has the coolest ideas! Check out this chandelier she nabbed for next to nothing and spent days cleaning and polishing! Isn't it fabulous?Hugs, Happiness and Harmony!

Damn...Travis took my word. The whole time all I kept saying to myself was "stunning"
There is a love of life and nature that is evident in every one of those pictures Julie. A love, we have been able to learn, she passed down to her daughter.
Thank you.

I love it Julie, what gorgeous gardens! I love all the paths, and nooks and crannies throughout the yard. Your mom has "the touch". Growing up my grandma had a similar yard (on a much smaller scale) and I am trying to recreate some of her bushes and ideas in our yards at home and camp. Thanks for the inspiration!

Travis-Thanks for stopping here before your busy weekend! I'm glad that you enjoy the pictures!
Vinny-Well you both chose an excellent word then! Yes, it's a great place and I really hope to retain enough ideas to pass them on to my daughter when she gets the "fever".
Lisa-It's my pleasure to share these pictures. She is so talented and has tons of the greatest ideas! Just know that she's been creating this masterpiece since we moved there in the early 70's. It takes a long time!
