I started this photoblog back on June 11th to share with you the beauty in the country where I spent my teenage years. Mom still lives there and most all of what you see are reflective of her gardening prowess. What a woman! Now we're already past the barn and the "mound" where we scattered Dad's ashes and many of the areas away from the house. For this blog I bring you down closer to the house and yard.

So join me as we continue our walk down past the barn. In this picture we have a couple buildings used as garages for mowers and Mom's vehicle and stuff for general upkeep.

A little further and you can see the house and some of Mom's gardens.

This walkway leads to the back door and during the spring, summer and autumn is a beautiful sight! She has so many flowers jam packed in such a small area and very few weeds. But that's because she tends to her gardens from sun up to sun down daily!

If you look real close you can see Mom's greenhouse. This place is so green and so lush!

This is her fishpond....yeah way better then mine! She has so many fish and it very ecologically balanced! She's had a fish pond for many many years though and knows how to keep it looking great!

Here's a view from behind the fishpond. Isn't it calming?

She doesn't use her greenhouse too much. I think she's still waiting for it to be finished...a couple of the glass panels are cracked and some other things need to be fixed.

This is the back of the house.....

....and this is the front that you see from the road. Yes a road...not a street. You see there IS a difference. Country roads and city streets!

Yup...kinda paved... kinda gravel but pure serenity! The closest neighbor this direction is probably 1/4 mile down the road and there are just a couple houses on this mile stretch.

The closest neighbor this direction is about 1/2 mile up a very steep hill.
Thanks for taking another walk with me visiting my stomping grounds....the place I'll always call home. The place I go to when I need to reconnect. You know what I mean.. right?
Hugs, Happiness and Harmony!
Julie

Vinny--I suppose you could call her...but I know that a big leather couch wouldn't fit her decor.
