A Sad Day for Italy and Opera

Opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, Oct 12, 1935-September 6, 2007

James Brown and Luciano Pavarotti
"It's a Man's World"

Luciano Pavarotti, whose vibrant high C's and ebullient showmanship made him the most beloved and celebrated tenor since Caruso and one of the few opera singers to win crossover fame as a popular superstar, died on Sept. 6. He was 71. Pavarotti, who had been diagnosed in 2006 with pancreatic cancer and underwent treatment in August, died at his home in his native Modena.

I've never been an opera person...but this video cuts to the heart. Check it out!

Hugs, Happiness and Harmony,

Julie

I got to hear him perform live in NYC years ago, and it was breathtaking. He really was talented...so sad.

I've never heard this before. It's chilling. This proves that great music is great music no matter the genre.

Thanks for you support during my little hiatus. I appreciate it.
