Good Morning Y'all!!
So here is my "good morning" greeting.

As soon as I opened my eyes this morning I remembered about two delectable cinnamon rolls in the kitchen on the island. Jeff had picked them up at a bakery a few days earlier and I felt they had "my name" on them. You know what I mean? He had several from the container and since Sara wasn't here with her little sweet tooth I knew these were mine.
I hobble down the steps wondering how many more days of evening walks before my legs don't scream in the morning. Especially the front of my calves....they were mooing like you wouldn't believe. (That was for you, Dana...if you make the blog rounds).
I stumble into the kitchen and spot the coveted domed container that remained undisturbed from the night before. "Ahhh the boys didn't get into them" I thought to myself. I quickly turn to make coffee..fuel for the weak and weary. I fill up the water reservoir and carefully measure the beans into the grinder without dropping any. I'm always afraid that the noisy grinder will stir the boys into wakefulness and anyone who knows me is well aware of how much I love the quietness and aloneness of my mornings.

"Good" I say to myself...the coffee is on! I turn around to take out the treats that I am so looking forward to enjoying. But the dogs run in and the cat starts meowing. How could I eat until I fed them? I stop in mid motion and glance at the rolls as I promise my speedy return.
I scoop out a bowl of puppy chow, a bowl of fat but very lovable dog chow and of course cat chow and dispense them at the appropriate locations all the while thinking of the icing on these rolls. I finally make it back to them....I take the container in my hand and wonder who on earth put chocolate sprinkles on them! The chocolate sprinkles moved!
DAMN ANTS!

Hugs, Happiness and Harmony....but NO cinnamon rolls,
Julie

Sorry the ants beat you to the rolls. I hate that too.
I saw your comment at Miss Bee's about your daughter leaving to study in Florence soon. Not too worry, she'll be fine. My older son spent his senior year studying in Rome and loved Italy as our whole family does. On long weekends he traveled all over Italy as well as other countries. It's a remarkable experience for anyone but especially a young person. College freshman son can't wait until he gets a chance. Your daughter is going at a wonderful time of year when Florence is less crowded with tourists. We have visited at Thanksgiving and much prefer fall over summer.

Actually, ants are very clean, so you still could have eaten the buns, gross thought as that might be! LOL You can read about their cleanliness here:
