Wordless Wednesday? I DON'T Think so!
So today is Wednesday and I have always done Wordless Wednesday. I thought about posting pictures of two murderers. One from 20 minutes away from me and the other from several states away. Then I thought, "Why would I want to give these troubled, messed up souls any more publicity?"
So I move my thoughts to sweet Jessie Davis. I seriously thought about helping to find her....but chickened out. Mother of a 2 year old. Nine months pregnant. Gorgeous smile. Little boy utters fragmented sentences such as “Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy’s in rug.” The boy, Blake, gave investigators some of their first clues. And now....if that isn't upsetting enough....the little boy talks to mommy via cell phone. He hasn't once asked for daddy. That's a good thing because daddy killed mommy and his unborn sister Chloe. I guess daddy won't be a cop anymore now will he?
And within a few days another act of horror committed by a wrestler. He strangled his wife, suffocated his young son and perhaps as a final act of justice hung himself. The eerie sordid fact remains that he did it over the stretch of an entire weekend. "What evil lurks in the hearts of men?" I couldn't locate a picture of Nancy and seven year old Daniel. If anyone does find one could you send it to me please? At one point he was asked about his family life in which he replied: “Quality time with my family is a big vice. It’s something I’ll fight for and crave.”
"So yeah little Johnny..what do you wanna be when you grow up?" I know we don't automatically take being a cop or a wrestler off the list....
...a discouraged blogger leaves.
No hugs, no happiness and certainly no harmony, Julie
It is all very sad, but I am sure you can look around and find plenty of good in the world. For instance, the number of folks who went out to look for her. Dont get too discouraged Julie...Cheers!!
I agree it's disheartening, but it's no reason to give up hope.
I was one of Benoits biggest fans, and still am. What he did as a man has no bearing on his accomplishments in the ring. The coroners report says no drugs were involved, but knowing the lifestyle these guys live, the pain killers and roids etc., I don't believe it.
If you want pictures of Nancy & Daniel, well, at least Nancy, try searching wrestling archives for the manager WOMAN. That's what her name was when she was managing. There might also be pictures of Daniel from Chris' Wrestlemania 20 win.
Regardless, still very sad, and I've been crying since I heard on Monday.
Sometimes things happen that we just don't understand, but that doesn't mean we should get discouraged. Life goes on. Good things still happen. Love can still be found in the hearts of men and women. We just have to have faith that love and goodness will ultimately triumph. Hugs.
When I read what little Blake said, "Mommy's in rug", I just about couldn't take that. I'm hoping it was a horrible accident and that the guy just panicked. What an awful thing for that poor child.
As for Benoit, his celebrity makes this unfortunate tragedy so sensational.
I've been married to Jeff since 1994, have 3 children Nathan(27) Sara(25) and Lucas(21). I'm way too busy for my own good and haven't learned to say "no" very well. I am Co-founder/editor/publisher of a Christian newspaper. I am very involved in church and community outreach. I place foreign exchange students through Nacel Open Door. I have a cat, Lucy and a dog, Cali. I have wonderful friends who love me and I'm going to heaven when this is all said and done! How 'bout you?

Gail--Thanks for stopping...a little depressing, but this girl's not always upbeat.
Matt--yup, it was amazing the outpouring of concerned citizens. The does give a bit of redemption to my local society.
