A NEW CHANCE
Well, the huge ball comprised of zillions of lights just descended onto Times Square amidst tens of thousands of people. All screaming, all smiling….and why?
Perhaps a chance to start over? A chance at a new year only separated by mere seconds from the previous year? A chance to start over by righting was so wrong last year.
A feeling of hope hangs in the recesses of my mind. This is my 45th New Year’s Eve and for the last several years I wonder how far into the New Year I’ll be able to possess the characteristics that I admire in people. How long will I go before I say something unkind? How much time will pass before I whine? What about all the habits in my life that I struggle with? Oh, man….what about my eating habits and not exercising?
We all have tweaks here and there that need to be tended to. Start today! Not because it’s a new year but because it’s a new day!
Happy New Year and thanks for visiting me today. Leave a comment before you leave.
Hugs, Happinesss and Harmony!
Julie

Happy New Year! What a wonderful commentary. I had a similar discussion with someone last night. THe ball dropping ushers in the New Year and the dropping of the last.
Hugs!
